How is this going to work as a virtual event?
This year will pull in many of the elements experienced at last year's epic party, and bring them to you virtually. But this won't feel like just another virtual experience. It's going to be a virtual celebration like you haven't experienced and the closest thing to actually feeling as if you're there in person.
So, put your "babysitter" on notice (as in, prep the devices, movies, early bedtime routines), and join us from the comfort of your home. In fact, for some of you, virtually means you can also easily have a sneaker change during the actual event! Imagine that!! You get to show up and show off while everyone is enjoying the DJ, virtual photo booth, raffle and much more.
Why is PSV having a Sneaker Soiree?
The Sneaker Soiree is the annual fundraiser for the Private School Village that supports the annual operating budget for the following year. Activities and events throughout the year are mostly free-of-charge if not significantly discounted and are hosted because of the generosity of donors. In order to sustain the organization such that it does not have to operate month-to-month, to grow programs, and more, we need additional fiscal support. This annual fundraiser will ensure the ability to continue to grow this valuable community.
Each household that buys at the VIP level will receive a specially curated Sneaker Soiree Swag Box featuring fun PSV branded props, memorabilia and treats to enjoy during the event and beyond. To ensure that the box is delivered in time for the event, you must purchase your VIP ticket by November 30 (and provide an adequate delivery address). VIP ticket purchases after that date will received the Swag Box in a reasonable time via US Mail.
What is the difference in tickets?
What if someone can't afford the ticket price?
We understand that not everyone has the financial means to afford a ticket. We hope those in the community who can afford to donate more, will include a "Village of Support" ticket when buying their own ticket. Depending on what is raised, this will help cover (discounted) tickets for those who may need a little help and/or provide ongoing resources to provide assistance for future programs and events. Those who need assistance should send a redacted copy of their financial aid award letter to Deepa Janha at firstname.lastname@example.org. This will help verify the need for support.
Deepa will confidentially manage the assistance needed.
