PSV volunteers and community members are the heart and soul of the community! Whatever unique volunteer skills or interests, volunteers lend tremendous time, resources, and support to the community. On top of it all, it’s fun when we come together to volunteer or just to participate -- it's another important way to build community.

Parent Ambassador Program: Serve as your school liaison to PSV and share information, opportunities & more; Year-round commitment with 5-6 zoom meetings/year & coordination for Parent2Parent Mix & Mingle in April.

Trustee Leadership Program: Position yourself for board opportunities both within private schools and beyond while also resourcing and supporting current Trustees in private schools; Year-round with 2-3 trainings on best practices, governance, trends, and more.

Pre-K/K Grade-Level Social Pod: Students enjoy activities to socialize while also building cultural pride and knowledge. Year-round with 4-5 gatherings minimally/year.

1st-2nd Grade-Level Social Pod: Students enjoy activities to socialize while also building cultural pride and knowledge. Year-round with 4-5 gatherings minimally/year.

3rd-4th Grade-Level Social Pod: Students enjoy activities to socialize while also building cultural pride and knowledge. Year-round with 4-5 gatherings minimally/year.

5th-6th Grade-Level Social Pod: Students enjoy activities to socialize while also building cultural pride and knowledge. Year-round with 4-5 gatherings minimally/year.

7th-8th Grade-Level Social Pod: Students enjoy activities to socialize while also building cultural pride and knowledge. Year-round with 4-5 gatherings minimally/year.

High School Social Pod: HS Student Advisory Council plans activities to increase socialization while also building cultural pride and knowledge. Year-round with 4-5 gatherings minimally/year.

Summer Camp Program: In memory of Summer Medford, the program increases representation at summer camp and participation in specific group travel opportunities that increase exposure beyond PSV's current footprint. 1-2 gatherings/year.

Racial Literacy Programming: In partnership with credible organizations and experts, PSV provides annual opportunities for parents, students, and administrators to learn about racial literacy and build this powerful, life-long skill. Two skill-building trainings/year -- 1 for upper elementary and middle and another for High School students and caregivers.

Are there any PSV committees that you want to sign up to join for next school year (2022-2023)? Note: Committees involve participating AND helping to plan.

New Member Welcome Committee: Help welcome in new PSV community members and be an ongoing resource for engagement.

Annual Family Picnic Committee: Volunteer on the day of the gathering in various volunteer roles; typically in the Fall or top of the New Year.

Fundraising/Partnership Committee: Volunteer to help raise funds for the PSV mission through peer testimonial, word of mouth, and innovative events. Year-round with 3 zoom calls.

Black Hair-itage Celebration Planning Committee: Help plan & host this fun, educational, pride buildinge annual celebration; Planning starts in October with event held in the early New Year.

Parent2Parent Mix & Mingle Planning Committee: Help plan & host this all community event to welcome in newly-enrolled families into respective schools and into PSV; Planning starts in December with event held in April 2023.

4th Annual Sneaker Soiree Host Committee: Serve on the Host Committee for PSV's largest friend-raising and fundraising celebration of the year. Commit to selling tickets, securing auction items, spreading awareness and more. Planning starts in February 2023 (for Nov. 2023).

Parent Socials Planning Committee: Help plan & host social activities for caregivers (Sticks & Stems, Mom's Night Out).
