Patrce Miner

Patrice Miner

Patrice Miner, was born on the southside of Chicago, IL. Her grandmother was an entrepreneur/ member of MADAM CJ WALKER original street team and distributor in the early 1900’s.  Although this was her bloodline, Patrice never imagined herself in the industry.

Patrice attended catholic schools until college. Upon graduating from high school, Patrice traded the cold streets of Chicago for hot, sunny Florida and attended Florida A&M University (FAMU) in the late 1980s. While attending FAMU, she pledged the Beta Alpha chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. There, several of her sorority sisters were starting their own businesses while in school. It was then she dreamed of a salon dedicated only for children. But the research found that this industry didn't exist.  At that moment she understood “her life’s” assignment.

Upon graduating FAMU, Patrice accepted an excellent offer from ALDI Foods, Inc. back in Chicago, IL. As district manager over 7 stores, it provided her the mental stamina and financial stability to resign and launched her first Kiddie Kuts Salon in 1999.

Patrice mentored and counseled stylists, children, and siblings as a young entrepreneur. Her ability to understand kids and instantly bond with them is the reason she is called the “Kid Whisperer.”

Patrice established three Kiddie Kuts Salons in the Chicagoland area from 1999 to 2005. In 2008, she expanded the brand and opened in Atlanta, Georgia where she gained more exposure. In 2013, Patrice opened her 5th location in Sherman Oaks, California. The salon has been featured in many movies, commercials, and reality shows over the years.

Trailblazer, Innovator, and Mentor. Passionate about children, Patrice Miner created her own lane and built a path for generations of young entrepreneurs to follow.
