About The Event
Join us for a few hours of family fun and a bit of hiding the veggies in the sauce, education. The day will kick off with Campbell Hall's Associate Head of Community Engagement Chris Dennis who will give us a short training for parents and children about how best to respond when someone—a student, a teacher, even a parent—uses biased language or stereotypes in school. This Teaching Tolerance training (aka "Speaking Up at School") is designed to help children develop the skills to speak up for themselves by offering advice about how to respond to remarks made by students and by other adults. Then, we'll play games and hang!
We are hosting several pod groups with the same format at the park on May 7; the schedule for this pod is --
- 2:30 pm – 3:15 pm with Chris Dennis for "Speak Up at School" for 7th-8th Grade Students & Snacks
- 3:30-4:30 pm Games & Hang
