About The Event
Thirty-six years ago, Luna Luna landed in Hamburg, Germany: the world’s first art amusement park with rides, games, and attractions by visionary artists like Jean-Michel Basquiat, Keith Haring, and David Hockney. By a twist of fate, the park’s treasures were soon sealed in 44 shipping containers and forgotten in Texas—until now. PSV students will be guided through this art exhibit with Art Curator AJ Girard.
Luna Luna is an immersive experience that spans a 60,000 ft. warehouse space in LA's Arts District. In addition to the unveiling of a Basquiat Ferris wheel, Keith Haring carousel, and roughly a dozen other Luna Luna 1987 works, the showcase debuts a documentary, photo archive, and immersive timeline about the making of the '87 park. Students can shake hands with a stilt-walker, dive into the reassembly process in an area dedicated to Luna Luna's revival, and more.

We are asking for parents to contribute $20/student which will help cover the normally-priced $45/person ticket. This ticket price is only available to PSV students; all others wanting to attend on their own while PSV enjoys the tour, should purchase tickets directly through Luna Luna.
