It may sound foolish, even counterintuitive to some, to suggest that private school students need our help. It is hard to imagine that relatively affluent kids (certainly privileged to be in these elite institutions) are in the same category as our country’s most vulnerable youth. But, researchers are finding that while the stressors are markedly different, students in "high achieving schools" like private schools are “at risk” for elevated levels of chronic stress that can affect health and well-being. Together, we can instill student well-being, normalize inclusive and equitable communities, and encourage lasting systemic and institutional policy and process change that will impact a student's healthy development.

Private School Village is a parent founded and led, 501(c)3 non-profit organization that works in partnership with schools and families to increase racial literacy, socialization, representation, and support related research so that Black and Brown children thrive through school. We are committed to building partnerships that offer a multitude of benefits including the opportunity to align with an empowering, forward-thinking, grass-roots, community-based organization. We are building something special and long overdue, and we invite you to join us in making an immediate difference in the lives of Black and Brown students and their families.
