Virtual School Partnerships

School Year | 2025–2026  📅 Enrollment Period: June 16 – August 15, 2025

(For Schools Outside of CA or Geographically Isolated)

A New Way to Join the Village

Private School Village (PSV) cultivates and harnesses the power of community to positively transform the private school experience for Black and Brown families so that students fully thrive. Through intentional collaboration with families and schools, PSV increases racial literacy, strengthens socialization, enhances representation, and supports research that centers the lived experiences of Black and Brown students and their families.

At PSV, we believe that diverse, inclusive environments—where all students are seen, supported, and empowered—yield stronger critical thinking, deeper empathy, and improved academic achievement for everyone. But diversity is not enough. While access to private schools opens the door, it is what happens after enrollment that determines whether a student thrives. Social-emotional wellness, culturally affirming practices, and a sustained sense of belonging are not add-ons—they are fundamental pillars of a truly transformative education.

In this context, PSV school partnerships are not symbolic—they are substantive. In an era marked by socio political uncertainty and mounting pressure on equity initiatives, partnering with PSV is a clear and public affirmation of your school’s commitment to meaningful, sustainable, and community-rooted progress. Our approach is grounded in shared values, mutual accountability, and a collective vision for what is possible when families and schools work in alignment.

We are proud to now offer a new virtual partnership opportunity for schools outside of California or regions where in-person PSV programming is currently unavailable. This is a starting point, intentionally designed to expand access to our vibrant and affirming community. It is our hope that these initial virtual partnerships will spark meaningful engagement, provide identity-affirming connections for Black and Brown families, and lay the groundwork for future chapters and localized programming in more markets across the country.

Benefits of Supporting PSV

🌱 Community & Belonging

  • Culturally affirming workshops, discussions, and virtual classes designed to celebrate identity, build confidence, and foster community.

  • Increased belonging and well-being for students via regular socialization and skill-building wellness support.

  • Solutions built by and for the community most impacted, with lasting impact on engagement and school culture.

While our full suite of in-person offerings may not yet be accessible in every community, this virtual partnership is a way to begin. It offers a structured opportunity to connect, build, and reflect in the community—and signals a school’s alignment with the work of racial equity, wellness, and cultural affirmation while interested volunteers continue to build towards a more meaningful structure to sustain growth.

The 2025–2026 Virtual PSV School Partnership Terms outline clear pathways for engagement, consistent communication, and shared intention to grow. Schools will gain access to key PSV tools, curated digital programs, and the opportunity to contribute to a growing story of empowerment and collaboration for the betterment of current and future generations. This is an invitation to not only engage, but to begin shaping what local PSV presence could look like in your area in the months and years to come.

Partnerships—at every level—are a critical part of ensuring that PSV remains strong, responsive, and rooted in community, ready to meet the evolving needs of families today and sustain meaningful impact into the future.

Let this be your school’s first step toward building something extraordinary. The Village is ready to welcome you.

Note: If you are in a community where you think a PSV Chapter is imminently ready to launch. Please consider having met these milestones and complete the “Start a PSV Chapter” form on the PSV website:

  • Ideally a core group of 7-10 lead parent volunteers with disparate skill sets and representing multiple local private schools that include backgrounds in education, DEIJ, communications and marketing, mental health, and nonprofit operations and fundraising.

  • Flexibility with time – while not labor intensive, building does require bandwidth.

  • A clearly articulated rationale and initial community needs assessment that validates interest, opportunity, and more (see the “Start a PSV Chapter” form).

Virtual School Partnership Terms & Responsibilities

By signing up, you agree to diligently support the PSV Virtual Partnership Terms & Responsibilities and our mission to support families so that students fully thrive. These terms are:

  • Designate Engaged School Contacts: Assign two key representatives: a senior administrator (ideally the person that deals most closely with your Black/Brown community in admissions, DEIJ, or the Head’s Office) and a Communications/Marketing lead to serve as liaisons with PSV. One representative for smaller schools – someone who directs school communications strategies – is appropriate.

  • Attend Partner Orientations and Check-ins: Participate in one of two mandatory virtual orientations in August and a mid-year check-in in December.

  • Share PSV’s Identity-Affirming Programming: Promote PSV’s virtual programming to the appropriate parents, students and school administrators. Actively share PSV resources & virtual opportunities with your school’s Black and Brown families via direct communication channels and incorporate PSV opportunities with existing affinity spaces for Black and Brown families/students.

  • Participate in PSV Research: Engage in research efforts and gain early access to key findings.

  • Foster Recognition and Promote Our Partnership: Feature PSV’s Virtual name/logo on your website and marketing materials.

  • Build Local Community:
Be in communication with PSV about possible (in-person) regional community-building initiatives and continually aspire to grow the village.
